Knowledge Translation

I work with clients to translate complex ideas and craft persuasive messages to reach key audiences. My approach is informed by best-practice knowledge translation and values-based messaging principles.

Together we can publish:

  • Messaging and campaigns that work
  • Short-form resources such as evidence briefs and tip sheets
  • Policy briefings and submissions
  • Innovative practice and policy frameworks to fill gaps in understanding
  • Reports and summary papers exploring complex issues.

I am also available as a guest speaker on issues such as LGBTIQA+ family violence, gendered violence primary prevention, masculinities and engaging men and boys, and equity and inclusion.

Growth and capacity building

I help organisations grow larger and stronger in line with their values and goals. I have a strong track record of attracting new funding and am well-regarded as a thought leader in organisational and sector capacity building.

My services include:

  • Supporting applications with grants and tenders
  • Designing program logic models, theories of change and risk frameworks for new programs
  • LGBTIQA+ and gender equity training
  • Advancing LGBTIQA+ inclusion, including achieving the Rainbow Tick.

I specialise in supporting women's organisations to deliver LGBTIQA+ inclusive services and truly gender transformative gender equity and primary prevention programs. I have expertise working with executive teams to tackle tricky questions about language, organisational mission, eligibility and messaging.

My approach is grounded in feminist principles and deepening the focus on gender and inequality to achieve genuine intersectional outcomes.

Strategic impact

My strategic planning approach is suited to teams keen to approach familiar issues in new ways.

I especially enjoy supporting collaboration between organisations and movements with overlapping visions for social progress.

This includes:

  • Organisational strategic planning
  • Policy and workforce reform design
  • Partnership brokering and coalition building to support collective impact.

I have a particular interest in understanding backlash and resistance to progressive change, and designing agile and responsive primary prevention messaging architecture in partnership with corporate stakeholders to respond to a dynamic social context.

Consultation

and engagement

I work with organisations and governments to better understand the experiences and needs of the communities they serve.

My engaging approach to stakeholder consultation is informed by formal training in group facilitation, counselling, interviewing, and conflict resolution, as well as extensive experience informing social policy and workforce reform.

I can help you by:

  • Facilitating meetings that get results
  • Running stakeholder consultations that cut through the noise
  • Planning and chairing events that educate and inspire
  • Co-leading communities of practice that nurture confidence and collaboration.

I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands on which I work, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People of the Kulin Nation, as well as the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia. I recognise their ongoing connection to land, waters and culture and pay my respects to Elders past and present.

Sovereignty was never ceded.
